Snow, freeze, snow...

I have to say that I Love the sight of snow ladden trees ! There is nothing I think is more beautiful. The Ocean is OK, Flowers are pretty, Sunsets, yeah,.....but my Idea of Beautiful Nature is Snow covered Trees !! I could look at them for hours. I have been Very happy this last week looking out my windows and seeing the trees. Today we had a little warming and now the snow is falling off the trees and roofs(thank goodness)! We had the COLD tiny snowflakes here this year and lots of freezing weather , so it has been a winter wonderland. I am so happy we kept our power ! We are Lucky, and I know it !! Even the snow plows for our county have been sliding off the road ! It has been a winter like when I was young, Many years ago!!

So, I am ready for Christmas now, except for the Christmas dinner.......I had better think about getting to town for a ham. nothing like last minute planning.

Today, in our town our McDonalds was closed. We have about 2 service stations out of gas, and to top it all off, the mail delivery lady said to a newsman, this afternoon, no less, She DID NOT deliver 1/2 of her mail !!!! I was a bit ticked ! If I am to be "snow bound" , I need my mail !!
Don't they have a government contract?? Guess it's not binding in Washington !?!

o well.............................this "snow day" weather gives me more time to get started on some of my MANY piled up Scrapbook projects. I just wish I could get started.....................................
maybe .............tomorrow, while I Wait for the mail...........................

Bah, Humbug...................not really

Today I talked to my daughter who is in New York visiting her "New" Family (in-laws). She told me her sister is at home being "Bah Humbug" !! I think I almost fit in that catagory! Almost I say because I am just way behind !! Although I must admit I am really not much in the "spirit" .My daughters and grandson will not be home AGAIN this year ! I just got my DH to put up the tree today, not like there is any hurry. So I will be watching the TV and putting some decorations on tonight. I have been doing a bunch of Holiday Crafts the last couple of weeks. I got 2 beautiful calendars mailed off to the girls, which they swear are the only presents they want for Christmas! Then I made a couple of advent calendars. I have been seeing them on all the boards and in the galleries and couldn't resist making a couple of my own.

Then I made a couple of Gift cans out of "paint" cans that are quart size. I got a great deal on My Minds Eye glitter alphas at CKC Seattle in November and altered the cans! Very Fun!

So.......................I still have a little Christmas/Holiday "spirit". Besides , how could I not when I looked out my studio window and this is what I saw,

today, December 19th,2008, Happy Birthday, to my Grandson !! It's cold ! and
"It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" as the song goes !! well.......I'm off to trim the tree....

Better Late than Never ? ...or I'm trying to catch up

Just setting up my new blog ! This is my first attempt at this. My only problem is that I get so busy I have to remember to update this !! I will try ! Sounds fun and I want to post some of my projects.........So we'll see how it goes....
